Bringing Blockchain to the Orchard: Roadshow on Smart Ecotourism and Digital Agriculture Across East Java

As part of the Hiliriset Platform under the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) through the Ajakan Industri (Industry Invitation) scheme, our research team is implementing the project "Tokenized Smart Ecotourism Model in Fruit Orchards: Blockchain Prepayment, Traceability, and Benefit-Sharing Scheme for Improving Household Food Resilience and Net Wealth".

This project is a collaboration between Universitas Negeri Malang and PT Kerabatani Indonesia, a leading agritech company connecting farmers, technology, and investors to promote digital innovation that strengthens agricultural sustainability and rural livelihoods

In 22-25 July 2026, we conducted a roadshow across Madiun, Malang, and Kediri, bringing together farmers, agro-industry practitioners, traders, technology enthusiasts, and academics. The programme introduced practical digital solutions for agriculture, including the Smart Revolve Platform for agricultural finance and crowdfunding and the Smart Ecotourism Platform, which leverages blockchain technology for prepayment, product traceability, and transparent benefit-sharing.

The roadshow also showcased strategies to accelerate the development of millennial farmers through orchard ecotourism, agricultural crowdfunding, and digital financial consulting. Each session featured experts from academia and industry, fostering discussions on how emerging technologies can improve farm productivity, financial inclusion, and sustainable agricultural development.

This initiative demonstrates how collaboration between universities, industry, and farming communities can accelerate the adoption of digital technologies that enhance household food resilience and create greater economic opportunities for Indonesian farmers (TS).
