Human Quality among Indonesian Migrant Workers in Japan

Faculty of Economics Saga University, Japan, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia, work in joint research on human quality among Indonesian migrant workers returnees from Japan. 

From Saga University, the team consists of Prof. Saliya De Silva, Prof. Chizuko Hayakawa, and Prof. Hirokazu Nakamura. While from Universitas Negeri Malang, the team consists of Assoc. Prof. Thomas Soseco, Prof. Imam Mukhlis, Ms. Lohana Juariyah, and Dr. Inayati Dwi Putri.

We investigated experiences and lessons learned from the returnees from their stay in Japan and decide whether they benefit their home country regarding financial benefits, culture, and work ethics implemented during their business and daily activities.

At the end of January 2024, we visited some Sending Organisations in Malang and stakeholders to gather the information. 

Some initial findings will be presented in an international seminar in Saga in March 2024.
